U Mobile launched a plan called “
U3G” yesterday. In areas covered by U Mobile, a prepaid user can now make a call for
12 sen a minute, to any network. To check whether you are in a 3G coverage area and eligible to enjoy the offer,
click here for the coverage map. And to confirm that you can indeed make a call at this discounted rate, you’re supposed to hear a beep before making a call.

- Currently in Klang Valley, Seremban, Port Dickson, Ipoh and Johor Bahru. With more areas to come soon.
What do i enjoy?
- Only 12 sen/min to any numbers in Peninsular Malaysia*. Not valid for call to East Malaysia numbers.
- This promotion is valid from 30th June 2010 to 31st December 2010.
- Applicable to all new and existing U Prepaid subscribers and calls made with 3G handsets within the U Mobile 3G network
- Not valid when calls are made from roaming network, Celcom.
- The promotion rate is not valid for call to toll free , IDD number & a shortcode number – e.g. 103, 1300, 1800, shortcodes (i.e. 1339 ), voicemail (1311).
How would I know I’m getting this low rate?
- Before your call is connected, you will hear a “beep” to confirm that you are calling from the U Mobile 3G network area, and you’ll automatically enjoy the low call rate of 12sen/min to anyone*.
