九把刀小說改編電影《那些年，我們一起追的女孩》票房報捷，在港掀起話題，不少記者致電問我有沒有相似的校園戀愛故事可以分享，一時間，彷彿所有人都因着中學時期的戀愛故事集體中毒，然後藉着電影集體回憶——集體美化自己的回憶。

　　因着《那些年》，很多校園生活很蒼白的女生都變得很驕傲很感恩，因為電影讓她們有了圓謊與自欺的藉口；那些年其實也許有很多人暗戀我，不過是我不知道而已；而因着這電影，很多從沒浪漫過的男生也變得很臭屁，因為他們可以大模廝樣撒謊自欺，為自己的不夠成熟與勇敢找到撒賴的例證。

　　失去了才默然回想

　　《那些年》最動人的地方其實是男主角柯景騰和沈佳宜之間的曖昧。兩人明明都有意思，遊戲還可以玩那麼久，直到最後大家失去了，才猛然噙淚回想：「啊，為甚麼當年我們沒有在一起？」

　　也許因為我們都像柯景騰，根本就沒有我們所想那麼勇敢厲害；又也許因為我們根本就沒有想像中那麼愛對方，如果真的很愛很愛，我們怎可能甘願錯過？怎能忍受自己畢生最愛被其他人牽着抱着，餘生再也無法長相廝守？因此，唯一的結論只是，即使我們自以為有多愛對方，其實我們最愛的只是自己，怕失敗，怕出糗，怕破壞自己的美好形象，最後，也不過是太愛自己而已。

　　當下的我們愈骯髒醜陋，我們就愈需要《那些年》這種曖昧的純愛故事來淨化自己的人生。要是青春離你還近，你根本不必緬懷青春；要是你現在愛情幸福圓滿，你才不會有時間回憶多年前那段無法圓滿的愛情；要是你這些年來過得很好，又怎麼需要頻頻回顧那些年遺忘了的錯過與微小？

QB at Siem Reap

- been use QB at my recent Siem Reap trip.. USD3 per starter pack.. I shall have just bought the starter pack but being mislead-ed by the Siem reap airport QB counter said USD5 Int'l Calling Card can be used for top up, but rather it's just a Prepaid Int'l Calling Card.

- the minimum top up is USD5 which is way too high for my 4 days 3 nights trip. So I ended up only used the USD1 credit which is included in the USD3 Starter Pack.

- After first few hours, the QB customer service called me to welcome me to QB services and also introduce to me the Prepaid Int'l Calling Card.

- I managed to call back to Malaysia mobile numbers and chatted with my friends. Quality is just ok only.

- I called back to Malaysia (Telekom Malaysia) fixed line my home, my mum hardly heard what I am talking about!

- Referring to GSMWorld page that QB is Cadcomms, which also listed as a GSM1800 operator... but in actual fact, QB (CADCOMMS) has no GSM services, only 3G.. Luckily I have a 3G phone... but coverage is very poor if consider as a 3G operator in Siem Reap, a tourist destination.. No signal inside my hotel room which is just behind the QB shop at Siem Reap..what a joke... Of course once you stepped into the Angkor Wat area, you will lost in contact... Malaysians are highly dependent on the ocean – for food, for regulation of the climate, for recreation and for the sustenance of livelihoods of many people. While we may be aware that our fishes are getting smaller, more expensive and in lesser quantities, we have yet to fully comprehend the urgency of the situation.

The sustainable seafood movement is riding a wave all over the world. On a global scale it has taken the American and European markets by storm and is fast catching up in Asia, particularly in countries like Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore and even Vietnam, which has the first sustainable certified seafood in Southeast Asia, the clam fishery in Ben Tre Province.

Simply put, sustainable seafood is seafood that meets the following criteria:

fish that are caught using methods that are not harmful to the overall marine environment
fish species that are not endangered or at the verge of collapse
from a fishery that is well-managed, with minimal issues of accidental catch of turtles, marine mammals and juvenile fish
fish that are farmed or grown using environmentally or ocean friendly methods

Read this comment. I realise this when I try to find out if my
daughter can leave her car at the airport reasonably cheaply.

It is affordable compared to the airport taxi fares especially if it
is only for one night but at RM36 for an open space car park at the
LCCT, it is just too exhorbitant.
This is the price for allowing ABSOLUTE POWER TO THE BN GOVERNMENT.

LCCT car park

IF you were to park your car at Malaysia Airport Berhad’s open car
park in front of the LCCT, you will have to fork out RM36 per day. If
you use Touch & Go, it will be about RM40.

Compared with other airports in expensive areas like Singapore’s
Changi, where 24-hour parking costs only S$17.66 (about RM42) for a
covered car park next to the airport, and Standsted Airport in London
at £8.70 (RM46) which includes the complimentary shuttle, our open car
park at LCCT is really expensive.

Or if we park at the new Bangkok Suvarnabhumi aiport, it costs only
250 Bhat a day which is only RM25. Manila international airport only
charges 50 peso a day which is RM3.80. We can go on giving examples
such as Clark airport in the Philippines and the Jakarta airport, and
it would still show that parking charges at LCCT are exorbitant.

Imagine, for a three-day trip to Kota Kinabalu we would need to pay
RM108 just for parking at the LCCT when our air ticket costs only RM92
return on AirAsia. Tune Hotel in Kota Kinabalu only charges RM95 for
two nights and car rental for a day is only RM90.

The airport authorities must bring the cost down to make the LCCT a
success.

1. 第一次跑大马的全马，心情很开心。（因为前两晚的夜生活好好玩，呵呵）

2. 开始的时候，竟然下雨....实在是太过分了。平常只有在跑得非常辛苦的时候，才会骂自己干吗这么无聊来参加让自己那么辛苦的东西；现在跑步还没有开始，我心中已经在骂了。虽然说在“雨中漫步”算是满浪漫的事（读者：呃，跟这么多男生？），不过身上涂的防晒剂可要完全报销了。待会儿太阳出来后，被晒到脱皮，可就坏了我那白皙的肌肤了...（读者：.......）

3. 男生一生中都和“球”离不开关系，不管是最近的足球、中学的篮球、女生的球......呃，我指的是眼球。这次由于有pacer，所以我就尽量跟着那红气球跑。简单的计算，如果要在6小时内完成，平均速度越7km/h。开始的时候，3粒红球，不一会儿就变成1粒而已（气球品质问题吗？），所以只好拼命让那球保持在我的视线范围内。虽然我还是在24km后，开始完全落后了.....

4. 虽然雨停了，可是鞋子湿湿地跑，还真的很奇怪的感觉。

5. 当初考虑要不要带着香蕉一同跑（banana run?），不过后来担心别人的眼光而放弃。然后跑的时候才发现，只有在14km的地方提供一次香蕉，过后就没有了，让我有点不爽。虽然有提供power gel，不过前两次的经验，发现我的肠胃对power gel有点敏感，容易腹泻，所以不敢吃。于是饿着肚子，拼命喝100plus来提供能量。

6. 终于跑到一个地方，看到摊子上吊着一梳梳的香蕉。那黄澄澄的色泽，是那么地诱人可口的。我连忙跑过去，问摊主是否能卖一根香蕉给我，结果那摊主竟然狠心地拒绝，完全不怜悯我这受尽风霜、历尽千辛万苦、饥肠辘辘的可怜人......

7. 还是继续跑，跑到一个区，看到很多餐厅，什么干捞面、云吞面等，还看到更诱人的萝卜糕、蛋挞等。于是我心一横，不管什么跑步的theory都不管了。跑过去，选了个香喷喷、热腾腾的烧包（7毛而已，好便宜哦）。然后再跑到7-eleven，买了瓶乌龙茶（难得看到咧）。那些西方的鬼佬一定是没有吃过中餐，所以才会推荐在跑步中吃那些难吃的香蕉、power gel 等（巧克力例外，呵呵）。

8. 慢慢踱步在阴影中，吃着烧包，配上顶级瓶装乌龙茶，感觉如此舒畅。突然想想，人生不过数十寒暑，何必如此追逐？停下脚步，欣赏身边的事物，不也非常暇意？烧包吃完了，茶也喝得差不多，突然阳光温柔地吻上肌肤，原来阴影区已经走完了。心头大惊，连忙开步跑。什么暇意，还是跑完了这个东西再说吧，免得暴晒越久，皮肤受伤越惨.....（很爱美哦？）

9. 途中见到有人赤脚跑步，不知道是跑多远的。以前有听过这一种跑步派，提倡接近大自然、人体自我适应等东西。不过想想跑在那坚硬、热热的柏油路上，嗯，这一派别应该不适合我。

10. 看到有一位老先生在跑全马，心中非常激动。更激动的是，我竟然还比他慢.......（不禁自我叹气：现在的年轻人啊....）

11. 大马全马的经验是非常特别，尤其是在早上8点过后，参赛者和路上汽车“水乳交融”地跑在一起。交警叔叔非常好人，调控路上的车辆，尽量以参赛者为先。不过我想我们参赛者应该被路上的司机心里骂得狗血淋头（有车做么不坐？还要跟我们争路...然后还跑酱慢....）

12. 喜欢路上的陌生人，无论是路边的、自愿者，甚至参赛者本身，都不断地为人打气。每每遇上了，都尽量报于微笑感谢。还遇到一群人（应该是自发自愿者），路上分发好吃的面包。真的非常谢谢他们。然后也看到一些好像是认识的，却不知道是否真的认识。可能跑太久，缺氧了，所以出现幻觉.....

最后，发生了令人伤心的事故，希望有关当局能够重视并改善状况，同时也期望lim一路走好.....

朝鲜鲁尼1颗爱国心！郑大世唱国歌竟泪流满面

朝鲜一个苦难的国家，很难想象其生活是个什么样子，在几乎所有的人都嘲笑、讽刺这个自以为可以一路杀到底，捧起大力神杯的nc'球队，但奏国歌时郑大世泪流满面的一幕却感动了我，如此纯朴的球员，怀揣着一颗如此之深的爱国心，怎能不让人动容？朝鲜鲁尼的一颗爱国心！

No Free World Cup over RTM TV1 for Singapore Starhub viewer

Starhub has clarified that Radio Television Malaysia's (RTM) TV1 channel had been provided free as an 'act of goodwill' to subscribers here. There are therefore no plans to resume airing the channel here.

Starhub customers recently found that they were unable to receive Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) TV1 programming, as RTM had had the signal encrypted.

The withdrawal of RTM TV1 sparked strong reactions from Starhub subscribers. In particular, STOMPer kenmoo said that Singaporean service providers should encrypt their signals also, to prevent Malaysians from watching our channels free. Read the full article here.

A spokesperson for Starhub told STOMP:

"We refer to the online posting and comments on STOMP (June 12, 2010) regarding the availability of TV1 on StarHub TV.

"StarHub understands from Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) that it has received instructions from FIFA to encrypt its satellite signal source from June 11, 2010 so that only viewers in Malaysia are able to receive access to the 2010 FIFA World Cup matches on TV1. As the satellite signal source for TV1 is unavailable to StarHub, we are unable to offer the channel to viewers during this period.

"TV1 is a Malaysian Free-To-Air channel. Even though StarHub is under no commercial or regulatory obligation to offer TV1, we have been carrying the channel free-of-charge over our cable network to households in Singapore as a goodwill gesture.

"To clarify, StarHub does not receive any portion of TV licence fees. StarHub is one of the few pay-TV operators in the world that carries Free-To-Air channels on its network at no cost to TV audiences islandwide."

Student dies after kiosk workers refuse to help

KUALA LUMPUR: A man’s desperate attempt to save a woman from her burning car was in vain because petrol kiosk attendants refused to lend him their fire extinguishers despite his pleadings.

The tragic 3.30am incident yesterday happened after an accident involving the woman’s Perodua Myvi, a couple’s Toyota Vios and a lorry with two men.

The accident, on the flyover along Jalan Cheras near Jalan Loke Yew, caused the Myvi to catch fire.

Among the earliest to arrive on the scene was 31-year-old Teo Chai Yong.

He was on the phone with the emergency hotline operator when he heard the frightened screams of “Tolong! Tolong! Help me!” from a woman in a Myvi. Sparks flew from under the car.

Teo quickly drove to the nearest 24-hour petrol station, less than 500m away, hoping to find a fire extinguisher.

“As I ran up to the paying counter, I saw four fire extinguishers behind the glass door. An attendant was on the other side.

“I pleaded with him to let me have the fire extinguisher and screamed that someone was pinned inside a burning car.

“But he just stared at me and kept saying he was not allowed to open the door after hours,” Teo said.

In desperation, Teo even offered to buy the extinguishers and showed the attendant his identity card.

Shortly, a second attendant showed up beside the first man and told Teo to call the fire department if there was a fire.

In frustation, Teo rushed back to the accident scene, only to see the car, with the woman still inside, engulfed in flames.

“She was still screaming but I could do nothing. I just stood there, her screams grew more frantic before fading away,” he said in a telephone interview.

BH Petrol’s managing director Tan Kim Thiam, when contacted, expressed regret over the incident at one of their petrol stations.

He said robberies were common in those hours.

“The staff were concerned and did not respond to the request as they could not see the accident,” said Tan, who declined to comment further.

City traffic police investigations chief Deputy Supt Abdullah Roning said the woman was burnt beyond recognition and her personal identification documents were also lost in the fire.

“We believe she was a 27-year-old college student from Sarawak,” said the city police prosecution division head.

The driver of the Toyota Vios and his girlfriend were also seriously injured and were rushed to Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia here.

The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless or dangerous driving.

今天凌晨大约3.20am,目击者在Cheras Taman Pertana的交通圈发现了一场致命车祸.涉及的有一

架Toyota Vios, Perodua Myvi与一架罗里. 目击者是第一批人到现场,也就是事发后的几秒钟过后.
Toyota Vios的损坏程度相当严重.当目击者经过Toyota Vios的时候,后座的乘客正开始拉开前座的司机与前座乘客.

当目击者经过Myvi的时候,发现Myvi的损坏程度也相当严重.而且目击者听到有一位女性正因为被夹在车里不能出来而求救. 目击者停下了车子然后跑去Myvi那里帮忙,与此同时,目击者也正在打电话至消防局与医院求救.突然,目击者看到的 Myvi的引擎室有火花.

在紧急救援专线索取更多事发现场资料的当儿,目击者跑回了自己车然后开车到离事发现场不到500米的BHP油站. 然后目击者就开始向BHP油站的当值人员借取已经被收好的灭火器.目击者写道,当时有4只灭火器置放在店里的地上. 但是油站的当值人员拒绝了他,不让目击者借取有关的灭火器.

油站当值人员还说道”那门打不开”.目击者向当值人员骂道” 我需要用到灭火器!有人被夹在车内而且那车开始着火了!”

但是当值人员还是一直重复他不能借灭火器与开门. 目击者开始bek cek(原谅我的不专业…我想不到什么用词能形容WTF…)然后说到”如果你的服务中心着火了你能出来吗?”油站当值人员竟然回答”是”.

油站人员始终不愿意开门,并且说到他的老板不让他借.目击者又再bek cek,并且向油站的服务中心拳打脚踢. 目击者还将自己的身份证丢给油站当值人员并说道如果他不将有关灭火器交还那油站人员大可以去报警.目击者还补充道,如果他用了,他将会付钱.但是有关油站的当值人员一直对他微笑. 过后还叫出了另一位当值人员.

目击者到最后忍不住还骂了粗口说,如果那女生死了你们两个都是杀人犯!但是另一位当值的油站人员竟然回口对他破口大骂.

目击者向正在当值的油站人员索取他们的名字,并且告诉他们他将会投诉两位正在当值的油站员工.第二位油站员工也抄下了目击者的车牌号码并说道目击者的一举一动都被闭路电视记录了下来.并表示他们也会向警察报案. 目击者还挑战了他们.

然而,当目击者回到车祸现场的时候,那架Myvi已经完全被烧毁而且那可怜的女生已经被活活烧死了.

目击者向消防队员了解实况并了解到车上有一名女生.过后目击者把在油站所发生的一切告诉了马来西亚皇家警察.过后, 警察的反应也相当的bek cek,说道,如果当时他们能借灭火器给目击者的话,那女生可能可以获救.

过后,警察告诉目击者说请他到警察局做一份有关BHP油站的备案并且有关警员猜测那愚蠢的BHP油站员工不会向警方报案.

目击者还表示,他想问问当下4支灭火器大概是什么价钱?会贵过一条人命吗？

目击者还向BHP的最高理事长反映(hayu 深表同意的说…)

“如果你连4支灭火器都负担不起的话,那你最好把你的油站给结业!! !妈妈鸡鸡你的,老板!
然后这是反映给全国的BHP,如果你们的协议书是把安全器具收在服务中心里的话,那当有人在添油的时候你的员工是不是会打开门并且伸出援手?因为你们的员工说那门在营业时间过了后就不能再开了?

When all the results were tabulated, we found that Maxis performed the best among all three telcos. We found that the Maxis network delivered consistently high speeds at all our test areas. If any, Maxis was slow in the KLCC area, which was surprising to us, given that their HQ is located there.

DiGi was close in most tests and even faster on some occasions. The speeds we got from Celcom’s network were slower than the other two telcos and that too surprised us. So much so, that we actually sent the team out on another day with a different Celcom SIM card and modem just to make sure that we were getting accurate readings. The team came back with the same speeds for Celcom. In short, when all the results were put together, Maxis had come out tops in this road test.

Look at the tables and graphs that detail our road test results. You will see that Maxis hit peak speeds of nearly 4 Mbps in the Wangsa Maju area, higher than we expected. It gave us peak speeds of over 2 Mbps at KLCC, nearly 1.7 Mbps at Bangsar and 1.1 Mbps at the Curve area. Those results were better than its competitors.

On average download speeds, Maxis was still ahead. We got average speed of 525 Kbps at Wangsa Maju when downloading a YouTube video. DiGi beat out Maxis at KLCC area but Maxis was top again at Bangsar and The Curve.

On uplink speeds, which are an indication of how long it would take a user to upload stuff such as Facebook photos, speeds were much slower on all networks. But that is expected as all networks usually have slower uplink speeds. Maxis was still faster than DiGi and Celcom in all areas. In Bangsar, Curve and Wangsa Maju, Maxis was significantly faster than its two rivals. Both Celcom and DiGi were neck to neck in fighting for second place.

When we measured response times for popular websites, we got roughly the same results. Maxis was generally ahead with DiGi close behind. Celcom lagged behind in all areas. DiGi gave competition to Maxis and it was even ahead in some areas. But when all the results were tabulated for the various websites, we still placed Maxis in front.

As for our tests on mobile devices, you can see the picture on this article that shows a webpage loaded on one mobile device while the other one is still in the process of downloading that same site. Conclusion Time
The figures, we should say, speak for themselves. When we set out to do the road tests, our MW Team perhaps was expecting different results. Maxis has taken the brunt of complaints in recent times and no one would have been surprised if they had came out last in this road test. But this is why we run road tests regularly instead of listening to opinions of a few. Numbers don’t lie and we have to say that Maxis performed the best on this road test. DiGi is not far behind too. Celcom’s results were a bit of a surprise to us and we hope that it will take steps to increase network speeds.

萨顶顶为玉树筹3万不认同音乐另类

自2008年发行第一张专辑《万物生》，来自中国的年轻音乐人——萨顶顶，即成为最炙手可热的东方面孔之一，在全球各地受到追捧，更被中国喻为：发自现代中国内心的声音——歌手、制作人、舞者、艺术家、中国二十一世纪的未来和其古老传统的代表。

原名周鹏的萨顶顶非常热爱其祖国文化，也乐于通过音乐分享向西方国家介绍东方文化。她的第一场欧洲演出是在 WOMAD音乐节，为一大群充满期待的观众演唱；她的第二场演出，是在英国皇家艾尔伯特音乐厅的BBC音乐奖的获奖演出。萨顶顶是第一位获得英国BBC世界音乐大奖的中国人，也是历史上第三位踏足英国演出的中国人。

受大马环球音乐之邀，萨顶顶前来大马宣传其第二张专辑《天地合》，同时宣布，即日起至5月31日，每售出一张《天地合》专辑，其中的十令吉将捐献给青海玉树的赈灾基金，并希望能凑足三万令吉。萨顶顶表示，获知青海发生地震后，她第一时间念诵《万物生》中的一段经文，为当地的朋友祈福。

这两年来，萨顶顶忙着到世界各地巡演，目前已经到过二十二个国家演出，她希望将音乐变成翅膀，紧紧的、温暖的把歌迷抱在怀里。每一次上台演出前，她如是这样告诉自己。“每一次我都希望把爱和希望传承出去。我是个很有民族情意结的艺人，第一时间念诵经文，是希望给逝去的人们和活着的人爱与希望。”萨顶顶也希望，以后能到各地参与慈善活动。

要筹获三万令吉的目标，意即必须卖出三千张专辑，但时下盗版猖獗，萨顶顶是否有信心达成目标？她对此丝毫不感到担心，“喜欢我的音乐的人不少，我认为，只要大家相互呼吁，会有更多的歌迷加入行列。”她也透露，《天地合》专辑在中国推出的时候，在短短的三个月内即卖断十万张，“用几块钱支持正版也是一股力量，能给年轻人一个鼓励，大家一起做善事，发善愿，未来会有回报的，就在你不经意的时候。”至于私人的捐献，萨顶顶将会参加上海世博会的开幕仪式，但没提及捐助的数额，只说到时候将在仪式上出一份力。

萨顶顶的音乐，用了吟唱的特别方式呈现她的创作，让各地粉丝为之疯狂，也因此而被归类为另类音乐。但对萨顶顶来说，目前已出现的音乐类型，都可以是创作人的参考，而把音乐分门别类，是音乐研究家的工作。“我的兴趣在于音乐，选择不同的语言演绎主要是因为当中有不同的情感，我的音乐其实充满了我对世界的想象。我做我的音乐，我找我的感觉，我爱我的生活，我把所有的喜悦都分享给喜欢我的音乐的人。”

在萨顶顶第一张专辑中，她以孙子《天伦》中的一段文为词——天地合乃万物生，并认为这是非常重要的，“我觉得这一句话带给我们很多很多的思考，所以就用了《万物生》为名”。至于第二章专辑《天地合》，萨顶顶希望带给大家宁静的感觉，能在第一时间感觉喜悦和幸福，为此，她用了两年的时间到二十二个国家表演。“我希望，所有的人都愿意和身边的事物相合，也能时刻提醒自己做人不要太骄傲，这是心态与理念的改变。”

萨顶顶带着她的音乐和乐队走遍各地，彼此建立了深厚的默契，也在彼此的音乐中共同成长。“我觉得亚洲的音乐需要有不同的历练。”全男班的乐队，后排左一起：有热爱中国古乐，弹得一手好琵琶和古筝的章益、爱设计的鼓手刘为（Mico）、键盘手兼音乐总监之一的彭博（后排右一）及贝斯手刘文泰（前排左）。记者会上，腼腆的彭博希望喜欢萨顶顶音乐的人继续支持她，因为她真的很棒。萨顶顶透露，四人在中国相关音乐领域中，可是排名前二名的佼佼者，让她引以为傲。与此同时，萨顶顶也不忘介绍中国著名的调音师阿刚（前排右），也感谢他在演出与制作音乐上给了她很多的指点。

拥有如此出众的乐队，加上萨顶顶对音乐的热忱，与众不同的好音乐因此而诞生。当初推出专辑的时候，她不曾想过有一天会拥有自己的舞台和歌迷群，专辑销量更在欧洲开创双白金的成绩。身为东方音乐人能在国际上有此佳绩，萨顶顶有她个人的看法。“亚洲的音乐在西方音乐工业的压制下，没有很突出的表现。亚洲音乐有我们东方人的情感意境，当中也包含新民族性音乐的可能性，也不可能从歌词上区分国际。如今的反应是意想不到的。”其中的歌词是否包含某些意义？萨顶顶认真的表示，音乐是情感的传递，语言是沟通的工具，她的音乐语言本身并没有另外的意义，因为那太造作了。

萨顶顶热爱音乐的程度犹如热爱生命般强烈，她对马来西亚本土音乐与传统乐器有着深厚的兴趣，表示有机会的话也很想和本地音乐人合作。不过，她也坦言对本地流行音乐不太熟悉，一时间也说不出想和哪个艺人合作。但她坚信，音乐人是不受地域所限制，有机会的时候会尽力以想象与所得经验进行创作。

萨顶顶在马来西亚举办的音乐会属免费入场，不同于国外的收费商业演出。但萨顶顶表示，售票演出给予亚洲音乐很大的信心，同时也让她能到其它国家进行免费演出。萨顶顶接下来将到韩国、香港、台湾、美国、欧洲等地巡回演出，相信她发愿捐助灾黎的善心善念，届时将号召更多人加入行善列车。

音乐会上魅力四射
晚上10时30分开始的音乐会，挤满了喜欢萨顶顶无疆界音乐的观众，除了中国歌迷前来捧场，连印族朋友也很欣赏萨顶顶。

萨顶顶以一身改良的传统民族风打扮现身，甫出场即带来具有佛教色彩的《希然宁泊——自省•心经》。那一身上下两件式的衣裙，显露她的纤瘦身材，但无阻她在台上的奔放演出，时而舞动彩带手摇铃、甩头、与乐手起舞，或者展现静态的静坐、膜拜的舞台风格。在台上的萨顶顶舞台魅力热情摇摆，她更大的魅力来自于唱歌时传达出的快乐神态，你能感受到她最直接的快乐。

最为特别的是，萨顶顶带来她与法国著名制作人Marius De Vries合作的歌曲——《幸运日》，这也是萨顶顶第一次用英语演唱的歌曲，歌词是写说Marius De Vries身在中国的感受。不论是充满祥和的佛曲《妈妈天那》，还是因云南之旅而惊觉云南女人担起家庭的坚韧个性而创作的《石榴女人》，抑或是节奏轻快欢乐的《快乐节》，都获得台下观众兴奋热情的回应。

萨顶顶随着音乐翩翩起舞，随性的舞姿让她的演出更添神秘感。演唱《蓝色骏马》时，萨顶顶表示她梦见蓝色骏马很多次，每一次它的出现，她的生活都会有所转变，希望借此带给大家好运。

安哥的时候，主持人再次要求粉丝安静，否则萨顶顶就不唱了，岂料萨顶顶大呼：“我出来了！”同时表示她没要求大家必须“鸦雀无声”，让主持人好不尴尬。安哥的第一首歌《万物生》，萨顶顶唱出对青海灾黎的关爱，最后一首安哥《自由行走的花》，萨顶顶觉得自己是会行走的花，这样才会放下身为人的骄傲！音乐会后，萨顶顶也为现场逾百名粉丝签名和合照。

剧情简介

　　《安非他命》讲述的是一个男同性恋的感情故事，落寞的游泳教练 ( 彭冠期饰 )遇上了澳洲回港的青年才俊 ( 白梓轩饰 )。性取向的抉择、不快的过去、毒品的折磨，使两个年少轻狂的大男孩爱得深刻，亦爱得艰辛。

　　云翔，生于中国大陆，在文革的摇篮里及祖母的慈爱中长大。13岁与弟弟随双亲移居香港，在半工读中度过青春年华，辍学后在IT行业任职了20年，后来他于公开大学获得电脑学位，进入跨国公司发展。他创办的软件实验室从无到有，最终成为上市公司。

Malaysia's first mainstream gay movie

ARE Malaysian moviegoers ready for the first mainstream Malaysian-made movie about homosexuals?

That will be answered when ... Dalam Botol, directed by Khir Rahman, opens nationwide at the end of the year. The film will be his directorial debut.

The controversial film, its original title was Anu Dalam Botol, focuses on the relationship between a gay couple that ends tragically.

Newcomers Azharudin Ramli and Saiful Redzuan Abu Bakar, play the lead roles after beating more well-known and established actors such as Adi Putra and Norman Hakim for the coveted roles as the first local on-screen gay couple.

Producer Raja Azmi Raja Sulaiman is hopeful that the film will do well in cinemas.

"I am grateful to the National Censorship Board for what they did during the shooting of the film," she said. Raja Azmi said she met the board's members and went through the script with them. She was happy with the feedback from the board.

"They advised me on scenes that should not be included in the movie. Based on the their advice, 30 per cent of the original screenplay was changed."

She said most of the changes were made to detailed intimate scenes between the on-screen. "We toned down the intimate scenes to meet the board's guidelines."

Raja Azmi also revealed that they did shoot some "hot scenes" which would not be available for viewing in the country.

"The scenes will be included in a director's cut that will be shown at international film festivals.

"The only way for Malaysians to watch the uncensored version is to attend international film festivals."

Raja Azmi said she was satisfied with the film, especially with the acting.

"Saiful and Azharudin gave a performance that shocked me. I am very impressed."

Two big names also appear in the movie in supporting roles -- Diana Danielle and Fauziah Ahmad Daud.

"The film is based on a true story and I want the audience to watch and realise the implication of making one false move."

She also wants the audience to accept the film with an open mind and not judge it negatively based on its theme.

"Watch it first before you make judgements," she said.

If ... Dalam Botol gets shown in the cinemas, it will create history as the first gay-themed film ever to be shown openly in Malaysia.

THE movie is only 70% complete, yet "... Dalam Botol", producer Raja Azmi Raja Sulaiman's latest film, is already courting controversy with its daring plot line which touches on homosexuality and transsexualism. TheSun managed to get exclusive access to scenes from the movie which is slated for a July opening, barring any intervention from the censors.

The RM700,000 budget "... Dalam Botol" is actor Khir Rahman's directorial debut, and stars Arja Lee, Wan Raja and Diana Danielle. Arja and Ghaus play gay lovers Rubidin and Ghaus, respectively, whose relationship is tested when the former decides to undergo a sex-change operation. But Ghaus is unable to accept "Ruby" and walks out of the relationship. Sometime later, Ruby decides that a woman's life is not for him, and decides to stop taking the female hormone injections. Now back to the masculine Rubidin - minus a few parts - he falls in love with Dina (Diana Danielle) and they decide to marry. But can she ever accept his past? Can Rubidin make her happy? Though ... Dalam Botol's plotline may seem far fetched, producer Raja Azmi swears it is based on a friend's experience. "I am not making a judgmental movie. I am just telling a story based on one of my friend’ true experience. In his case, he regrets going for a sex change operation. "I have no right to judge anyone. I am no angel. I have my sins too," she told theSun in an exclusive interview.

Raja Azmi bristles when asked if "... Dalam Botol" is an anti-gay movie. "It is just a simple love story between a man and a man, and a woman and a man," she said. Considering the subject matter, is she worried about the Censorship Board's reception to the film? After all, she had already changed the title of the film slightly from "Anu Dalam Botol" on the advice of the board. Surprisingly, Raja Azmi believes she will not face any problems in this department, despite butting heads with the board over the many cuts to "Black Widow Wajah Ayu", her first film back in 1994. Though there was an earlier ruling banning movies showing men wearing women's clothes, Raja Azmi says the Censorship Board has recently come up with more relax rules and regulations. "They are more matured and brave now. They understand the filmmakers predicament." That said, does the 51-year-old go looking for controversy? After all, her books-turned-movies such as "Cinta 200 Ela" and "Black Widow Wajah Ayu" have touched on sexual matters. But she claims she does not look for controversy. "Controversy comes looking for me. I cannot understand why can’t we discuss these topics in our films. We can discuss about God and devils. But we cannot discuss gays and transsexualism. "We should not sweep issues under the carpet any more. We must learn to face them. We must to learn to discuss them rationally."

I am gay, says Ricky Martin

LOS ANGELES, March 30 — Latin pop star Ricky Martin on Monday announced he was gay in a blog posting, ending years of speculation.

“I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man,” Martin wrote in a blog posting at www.rickymartinmusic.com.

“This is just what I need especially now that I am the father of two beautiful boys that are so full of light and who with their outlook teach me new things every day. To keep living as I did up until today would be to indirectly diminish the glow that my kids were born with,” Martin wrote.

Martin, 38, became a father to twin sons via a surrogate in 2008 and at the time no details were given about the birth or the mother.

The Puerto Rican singer of hits such as “Livin’ la Vida Loca,” has long been the subject of speculation about his sexuality.

In 2000, TV journalist Barbara Walters grilled him about whether he was gay, but he refused to disclose it.

In his posting on Monday, Martin said a few months ago he had decided to write a memoir and doing so brought him closer to what he called “an amazing turning point in my life.”

“Writing this account of my life, I got very close to my truth. And this is something worth celebrating,” he wrote.

The singer began his career with boy band Menudo and broke out as a solo artist and teen idol in the 1990s in Spanish-speaking countries.

He released his first, English-language album in 1999, the self-titled “Ricky Martin,” which saw two major hits, “Livin’ la Vida Loca” and “She’s All I Ever Had.” Since then, Martin has been a star in both North America and South America.

A few months ago I decided to write my memoirs, a project I knew was going to bring me closer to an amazing turning point in my life. From the moment I wrote the first phrase I was sure the book was the tool that was going to help me free myself from things I was carrying within me for a long time. Things that were too heavy for me to keep inside. Writing this account of my life, I got very close to my truth. And this is something worth celebrating.

For many years, there has been only one place where I am in touch with my emotions fearlessly and that's the stage. Being on stage fills my soul in many ways, almost completely. It's my vice. The music, the lights and the roar of the audience are elements that make me feel capable of anything. This rush of adrenaline is incredibly addictive. I don't ever want to stop feeling these emotions. But it is serenity that brings me to where I'm at right now. An amazing emotional place of comprehension, reflection and enlightenment. At this moment I'm feeling the same freedom I usually feel only on stage, without a doubt, I need to share.

Many people told me: "Ricky it's not important", "it's not worth it", "all the years you've worked and everything you've built will collapse", "many people in the world are not ready to accept your truth, your reality, your nature". Because all this advice came from people who I love dearly, I decided to move on with my life not sharing with the world my entire truth. Allowing myself to be seduced by fear and insecurity became a self-fulfilling prophecy of sabotage. Today I take full responsibility for my decisions and my actions.

If someone asked me today, "Ricky, what are you afraid of?" I would answer "the blood that runs through the streets of countries at war...child slavery, terrorism...the cynicism of some people in positions of power, the misinterpretation of faith." But fear of my truth? Not at all! On the contrary, It fills me with strength and courage. This is just what I need especially now that I am the father of two beautiful boys that are so full of light and who with their outlook teach me new things every day. To keep living as I did up until today would be to indirectly diminish the glow that my kids where born with. Enough is enough. This has to change. This was not supposed to happen 5 or 10 years ago, it is supposed to happen now. Today is my day, this is my time, and this is my moment.

These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and reminded me that acceptance has to come from within and that this kind of truth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn't even know existed.

What will happen from now on? It doesn't matter. I can only focus on what's happening to me in this moment. The word "happiness" takes on a new meaning for me as of today. 　而你是否曾從另外一個角度看事情，面對一件事情的時候，我們是否能像故事一樣，抽離自己來看事情。消失的就是消失了，過去的就是過去了，當我們無法改變以前的時候，我們要好好活在現在，學著去放手讓事情過去，學著不要耿耿於懷，學著珍惜所有你已經擁有的，生年不滿百一詩中有句話是這樣的：「為樂當及時，何能帶來茲」，我們擔心的太多，後悔的太多，但這些需要放下和面對，才不會造成更多擔心更多後悔。書中死後的天堂，能夠出現所有你想要的東西，你的照片會出現在名時尚雜誌，你會住豪宅，學校設備齊全，你要海有海，要山有山，就好像現在和未來，你想要你現在過怎麼樣的生活，你也可以做到，因為現在和未來是可以改變的，而過去的不能。這也激勵了我想要把握當下珍惜現在的心情，你是否也一樣？隨著事件的過去和未來的到來而成長。

　凡走過必留下痕跡，逝去的事也會在每一個人的生命中留下一道痕跡，重要的不是這道痕跡醜不醜，深不深，而是這道痕跡代表的意義和你經歷過的一切，看看當時的自己，再看看現在的自己，我想大部分的人都能為自己的成長而感到喜悅，就算痕跡再深再痛，但我撐過了。

This has given rise to a new hybrid industry, an integration of technology and creativity, which relies on human creativity as the ultimate economic resource. This is the world of the digital new media. Malaysia is no exception in recognising this formidable new growth area.

The challenge has always been to develop this industry in a proper manner, and the right way was to create an environment that allows the creative juices to flow. Technology has much to do with this, for example the introduction of Digital Media Broadcasting direct into vital sectors such as the Public Transportation industry.

With the increasing volume of commuters, there are endless possibilities as to how the media can be leveraged on to benefit commuters as well as the government and private industries.

Here, media companies such as Asia Media Sdn. Bhd. is set to play an instrumental role, focusing not only on the commercial aspects of media advertising, but also providing a service to the public or community by sourcing out government advertisements and announcements. This serves to update and educate the society on what’s happening in the community and to ease the government to convey their messages to the society.

Why go Digital?

Digital TV in Malaysia started way back in 2005. According to the national TV digitalisation plan, all existing analogue TV systems will be migrated to digital TV system by 2015. The migration process is a very challenging task for our government, especially the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) since it heavily involves the mass public as well as & broadcaster‘s interests.

However, it is a must do task that can only be delayed, not avoided. First world countries like Germany, USA, and Japan have already migrated to digital TV systems. Analog Broadcasting is being out-phased by most governments in Europe and in the United States. Some countries in Europe have already stopped analogue transmission altogether and completed the switch-over to digital broadcasting.

The Benefits of Digital Broadcasting

Apart from the obvious of getting much better picture and sound quality, DVB occupies less spectrum space. Therefore it is more efficient and can accommodate more TV channels. If you look at the diagram below, one UHF channel can accommodate 4 DVB channels under MPEG 2 compression. If MPEG4 compression is used, the number of channels can be increased to 8. The same spectrum that used to serve one analog channel can now be increased used to 4 or 8 digital channels, depending on configuration.

The migration to digital TV will free up lots of analogue frequencies and eventually give the opportunities to other broadcasters to showcase their dedicated programmes. In the near future, we will have not only Malaysian news, but also, shopping TV, tourism TV, state TV & so much more.

The application of Digital TV can be divided into 3 sectors. One of these is a dedicated digital TV channel for moving vehicles. But how is it different from any others? According to MCMC, they have streamlined the digital TV specifications for home. In general, home TV signals are received via fixed antenna or the signal can be diverted from elsewhere using proper cabling (such as apartment MATV systems).

We have the Home TV, which includes both free-to-air transmissions as well as satellite TV. One of the benefits of DVB for home users is the fixed reception signal which can piped HD content.

And we have mobile TV, which are handheld and portable devices. Some mobile handsets have built in digital tuners; the downside is that it drains the battery pretty quickly. Apart from that the screen is small, imagine trying to watch LIVE football on a hand-phone screen; you won’t be able to see the ball, we cannot make the ball bigger so the only way is to make the screen bigger.

In general, home TV broadcasters will not bother about the detail of coverage since the signal can always be diverted from elsewhere with cable. Mobile TV operator will not bother about screen resolutions. To the players who provide Digital Media Broadcasting to moving vehicles, it is vital to operate their own network to ensure the service reception quality for all moving vehicles within a specific coverage area.

This model of operations has been proven successful in many countries. With proper planning, the signal can be received even in Light Rail Transit (LRT) in tunnels. Transit TV using DVB can receive transmissions, even while travelling at high speeds of up to 200km/h.

Advertisers have already seen a dramatic increase in their ability to reach their audiences using this highly targeted and effective media. Performance metrics include a 70% increase in unaided recall, over 10% sales lift on product or service revenues and 2-3% increase in shopping basket size. These increases are driven by the compelling value propositions of out-of-home Transit-TV digital media.

The market oriented Transit-TV network enables an advertiser to show a different ad for the same brand for different locations to target a different audience.

For example, a job agency advertisement could carry a different job position offer to someone stay in Klang Valley and an entirely different position to a person who stay in Johor Bahru. Similarly, fast food ad could advertise breakfast set in the morning and dinner set in the late afternoon.

Out-of-home Transit-TV media is an extremely dynamic media, so it does not make sense to use existing magazine ads or TV spots for this media. However, one does not need to create an entirely new content for this media.

The key is to adapt existing assets from content library to bring out the interactivity in the message. For example, one can extract 5 seconds of content out of a 30 second TV spot or animate an existing magazine ad to create a very compelling ad for the media.

This enables the advertisers and agency to ensure the continuity of their brand message, reduce the cost of creating content for this medium, and reduce the cycle time for airing.

Transit-TV is a captive medium and affords the chance to clearly articulate the brand value proposition and provide a call to action such as visiting a web site, trying the product today in the retail point, calling now to make a reservation or texting to a destination for additional information.

Out-of-home Transit-TV media is clearly a fast growing and productive advertising vehicle. But without good quality content, advertisers risk de-branding their product, while seeing less than expected results from the campaign.

However, by following the principles outlined above, an advertiser can develop cost effective content in order to make Transit-TV media an essential and efficient component of their media mix.

That's right, we said it -- and we're not taking it back. The iPhone may be the greatest handheld surfing device ever to rock the mobile Web, and a fabulous media player to boot. It may be the highest-rated mobile phone on CNET UK, rocking the pockets of half of our crack editorial team. It's certainly the touchscreen face that launched a thousand apps. But as an actual call-making phone, it's rubbish, and we aim to prove it.

Say what? iPhone call quality is bad

Call quality on the iPhone is pathetic, and it's mostly because of the tiny speaker. It has to be aligned with your ear canal with the accuracy of a laser-guided ninja doing cataract surgery, or else the volume cuts down to nothing as the sound waves bounce uselessly around your ear shells.

The earbud headphones that come with the iPhone include a hands-free microphone, but they're tinny and as weak as a kitten, with no sound-isolating rubber nubs. Rumour has it Steve Jobs is hard of hearing and Apple has been criticised for making iPods too loud. We don't want music players blasting the hearing of future generations into fleshy tatters, but we could use some of that power in our iPhones' speakers.

The microphone is similarly craptastic, letting in all and sundry sounds to pollute your important calls, from fire alarms to passing unlicensed mopeds. Thank heavens the 3.0 version of the iPhone's software supports Bluetooth, so we can get our headset on and make some calls.

Dropped calls and data gaps

If, like Will Smith in Enemy of the State, you're trying to avoid the eagle eye of Big Brother, the iPhone could be for you. It drops calls, fails to connect and doesn't even ring sometimes -- not for everyone, but more often than any other phone we're currently using.

Most iPhone 3G and 3GS users can share stories of phone calls that disappeared mid-chat or voicemails that frighteningly appear, fully formed, without the phone ever ringing. But the people we've talked to who own the first iPhone, which sticks to the 2G network, don't tend to report the same problems.

Unsurprisingly, where voice is bad, data is often worse, and cries of 'no network' are a familiar sound for some iPhoners -- there's even a blog about it. Others complain about failed text messages, but it could be worse: some 52 people took the time to mention in Apple's support forum that their iPhone calls random people by itself.

For iPhone users, there are no straight answers about where the problems come from. As usual, Apple sticks to, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all," and has kept its mouth shut about the issues.

Others blame the iPhone's hardware, but an antenna test for a Swedish newspaper found the phone's antenna works fine. Bluetest, an antenna-testing company that spun off from Chalmers University, took some iPhones to their lab -- including phones that seemed to work perfectly and samples from people wth complaints -- and decreed, "If these mobiles do not keep the connection with the network like they should, the reason is not the antennas or how they are mounted."

But the antenna is just one part in a phone that's packed with doohickeys and whatsits. Those plucky Swedes struck again when Swedish engineering mag Ny Teknik wrote about a report from an unnamed expert that some iPhones are less sensitive to 3G than they should be. According to AP, the news agency, the report said the most likely cause of the 3G problems is defective adjustments between the antenna and an amplifier that captures very weak signals from it. This could lead to poor 3G connectivity and slower data speeds.

Whether it's the network or the phone, users have been left languishing in support threads by O2 and Apple, and left to try voodoo such as adding a piece of sticky tape to the SIM card to try to make their phone work properly. At least thanks to its tight iTunes integration, the iPhone has the option to wipe everything and restore all your apps, content and settings from a backup.

You can't answer if it doesn't ring

Perhaps the worst of the iPhone's problems is its ability to sit there stealthily and ignore incoming calls. With no ring or vibrate to clue you in, your friends and family are redirected to voicemail... or just treated to silence. If you're in a two-iPhone family, it can be a case of the deaf leading the mute.

But even if your phone works like a dream and nary a call is missed, the iPhone's very beauty can be its undoing. The default ringtones and message alerts are so soothing and melodic they can barely penetrate a pocket, and they certainly can't out-wail a crying baby on the bus. iPhoners can change to a custom ringtone, but most just select the most irritating, blasting option from the built-in list -- leading to a massive over-subscription to the traditional 'Old Phone' ringtone. For text messages, we recommend the honking horn -- you'll look like an idiot, but at least you'll hear it.

You'll suffer again if you want to increase the number of rings so you have a chance in hell of getting to the phone once you realise the lovely marimba tune is coming from your backpack. On most phones, this is a simple matter of changing the settings in some menu. On the iPhone, you have to type in an umpteen-digit number -- possibly the number of the Beast -- to reprogram the voicemail settings, in the manner of writing a BASIC program on the Sinclair Spectrum.

The iPhone might burn your face off

According to our ultra-sciencey test, it is extremely unlikely that the iPhone will burn your face off. It's probably just as likely that any smart phone will burn you, or even your laptop, thanks to the masses of techno gubbins that are being packed into ever-thinner cases.

Nevertheless, holding the the iPhone up to your face can be uncomfortable, and not just because it gets rather warm. Pressing a large, flat surface to your cheek is always going to be sweaty, especially as you press it ever harder against your ear in a bid to hear through the tinny speaker. Thus the current trend for people to walk down the street with their phones on hands-free, yelling into the mic at the bottom while they hold the rest of the phone away from their faces. They look like idiots, but at least their faces aren't sliding sweatily along a touchscreen.

iPhone battery life

Battery life is the first casualty of smart-phone development, as the power of 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi and heavy-duty processing sucks the power out of over-miniaturised cells. But the iPhone was the first to really flaunt its slim body while you watched the bars drop almost in front of your eyes. A couple of hours of Google Maps over 3G and you'll be lost in the woods without even the possibility of phoning for help. Compare that to the good old days when your phone would last a week without charging, and you'll wonder why you ever bothered to switch.

The iPhone 3GS is an improvement over the iPhone 3G. In our tests, it lasted over 45 per cent longer -- but we were comparing a new 3GS to a six-month-old 3G, and batteries do hold less charge over time. And, if you turn off 3G, GPS and Wi-Fi, you can squeeze a weekend out of the iPhone 3GS... but why would you want to, without the best features of the phone?

The iPhone sucks -- so what?

If the iPhone is inaudible, unconnected, on fire and out of battery, why is the thing so popular? The fact is, although the iPhone is the worst phone in the world, it's the best handheld computer there is. Web browsing is a revelation, it's a fantastic music- and movie-playing iPod, and it's easy as pie to install thousands of apps that do everything from editing your photos to tuning your guitar. And unlike its competitors, its responsive touchscreen and crystal-clear user interface make tapping away on the iPhone a real pleasure.

Making calls just isn't what it used to be, back when Grandpa used to dial by shouting down the party line at the operator. Many of us prefer Facebook and text messages to chatting on the phone, and the home phone is dying out altogether. Meanwhile, for some of us, finding a new venue without a little Google Map help is like trying to navigate by the stars, and we can't bear to wander without Wikipedia. For all these features that make smart phones live up to their names, the iPhone does a bang-up job. Just don't try to actually make a phone call on one.

该文章声称，iPhone或许是最棒的手持上网设备，并且拥有优秀的多媒体功能，在一些媒体的评比中，也都获得了最高分，它的触摸屏和数以万计的应用都非常具有吸引力，但是作为一款通话设备而言，它却非常糟糕。

该科技网站列出以下5大原因：

(1)听筒小通话质量差

iPhone的通话质量相当差劲，主要是因为它的听筒过小。除非准确地对准耳道，否则音量就会大幅下降。虽然iPhone随机附带免提耳机，但声音很小，而且没有隔音橡胶垫。

麦克风也存在类似的问题，没有任何声音过滤功能，包括警笛在内的几乎所有杂音都会被掺杂进去。好在iPhone 3.0软件支持蓝芽，可以选用其他耳机。

(2)电话通话数据中断

iPhone经常会出现通话中断或无法连接网络的情况，有时甚至连铃声都不响。虽然并非所有人都会碰到这种问题，但其频率几乎高于目前的任何一部手机。

既然通话质量差，数据连接自然也好不到哪儿去，经常有用户碰到“没有网络”的问题，甚至有专门针对这一问题开设的部落格，还有其他用户抱怨短讯发送失败，有52名用户甚至在苹果支持论坛中表示，iPhone会自己随机拨打电话。

或许可以指责运营商的网络不好，但即使是在其他使用同一网络的手机能够正常工作的情况下，iPhone也会出现这类问题。有人认为是iPhone硬体有问题，但是瑞典某报纸的天线测试显示，iPhone的天线功能正常。天线测试公司Bluetest也给出了鉴定结果：信号不佳与天线及其安装方式无关。

但天线只是手机硬体的一部分，瑞典知名科技类杂志《新技术》(Ny Teknik)援引一位专家的报告称，部分iPhone对3G信号的敏感度低于正常水平。最有可能的原因是天线与放大器之间的配合存在缺陷，这样便会导致3G连接不好，以及数据传输速度降低。

(3)铃声小又丢失来电

iPhone最差劲的问题或许就是丢失来电。有电话接入时，iPhone的铃声或震动功能有时会失效，使得来电者被导入语音信箱，或者干脆就是无人应答。

但即使是能够顺利激活铃声，iPhone用户也有可能漏接电话，默认的铃声和短讯提示音太过轻柔，甚至无法穿透口袋。虽然用户可以定制其他铃声，但是多数人都只会从默认列表中选择一些声音较大传统铃声，虽然这看起来有些过时，甚至有点傻，但起码能听到铃声。

(4)电话贴着脸不舒服

用iPhone打电话你可能得准备好灭火器。根据测试，iPhone烧伤人脸的概率极低，其发热率与普通智能手机差不多，但用iPhone贴着脸打电话还是很不舒服。这不仅仅是因为手机较热，而是因为将一个大平板贴在脸颊上通常都会让人出汗，更何况是为了适应细小的听筒而用力贴住耳朵。

(5)电池续航时间过短

电池续航能力不足是智能手机的第一大弊病，3G、GPS、Wi-Fi以及需要大量系统资源的程序都会导致电池续航能力下降。但iPhone的问题尤为明显，在通过3G网络运行了几个小时的谷歌地图后，剩余的电力恐怕连打个电话求助都不够。要知道，以前的手机基本上一个星期都不用充一次电。

先天上，幾個主要角色都賦予鮮明形象，如MEW（WITWISIT HIRANYAWONGKUL飾，暱稱PCHY）的寂寞和缺乏安全感、TONG（MARIO MAURER飾）的外剛內柔與彷徨、YING（KANYA RATTANAPETCH飾）的可愛及義無反顧、SUNEE（SINJAI PLENGPANICH飾）的偽裝和逞強、KORN（SONGSIT ROONGNOPHAKUNSRI飾）的自責與不由自主、JUNE（CHERMAL BOONYASAK飾）的神秘及失落、阿嬤的無私和疼惜，令觀眾輕易進入狀況。

簡單闡述故事大綱：
MEW和TONG兒時是同學兼鄰居，當時MEW有疼他的阿嬤，TONG有爸媽姐姐TANG的幸福家庭。一切都在姐姐失蹤後，產生變化，失去愛女的KORN和SUNEE，決定離開傷心地，重新生活。TONG走了，MEW回到只有阿嬤和音樂的世界裡，相依為命，然後阿嬤病逝，留下他一人。KORN無法接受女兒不在的事實，常年酗酒麻醉自己，就算導致肝臟嚴重受損仍酒不離手，SUNEE扛起家計，收起悲傷，全心照顧丈夫和兒子，她不容有失。6年後重逢，MEW和TONG已是高中生，身邊各有愛他們的女生-YING和DONUT（ATICHA PONGSILPIPAT飾）。兒時的情感，並未因時間的消逝而轉淡，反而演化成了愛情，TONG最終必須在愛情和親情之間，做出抉擇…

兩位男主角PCHY和MARIO外形標青，以新人而言，演技可圈可點，MARIO較略勝一籌，早前在香港舉辦的亞洲電影頒獎典禮，他更是入圍了最佳男配角（明明是男主角Orz）。

我較偏愛PCHY，可能是由衷心疼MEW這角色吧！爸爸再婚，把他棄在阿嬤家，他一直覺得自己是不討人喜歡的孩子，除了阿嬤，對任何人都冷漠，TONG一家的和樂融融，是他永遠得不到的東西。阿嬤和小MEW（ARTHIT飾）的嬤孫情篇幅不多，但是那細微的互動畫面，深深打動了我。與阿嬤並肩彈鋼琴時，阿嬤說了一句很動人的話：「阿公回來看不到人，他會很寂寞。你願意陪阿嬤一段時間嗎？」小小MEW的心靈，突然得到了安慰，他不是沒人要的孩子，阿嬤需要他。

好友AEX說：「你是我最好的朋友！為什麼你一直覺得沒有人在乎你呢？」他忘了，友情不曾離開他。就算知道他喜歡的是男生，情歌都是為TONG而寫，August Band從未過問，也沒因此疏遠他，他們都希望他快樂。

MEW 和TONG各自一班朋友，同時道出泰國年輕人的兩種心態。TONG的朋友，開派對、約會女生、出遊，他們似乎都很迷失，不會談及自己的未來，今朝有酒今朝醉，但求開心就好。MEW和他的樂團August Band，生活作息正常，除了學校，他們都聚在一起玩音樂，對於未來，他們憧憬在樂壇發展。

難忘MEW和TONG那段寂寞對話。
TONG：「MEW，這幾年你過得怎樣？」
MEW：「很好。玩音樂很快樂。」
TONG：「但你一個人住，不寂寞嗎？」
MEW：「寂寞得害怕。」
TONG：「什麼意思？寂寞得害怕？」
MEW：「就像小時候，因為沒有很多朋友，所以很寂寞。現在長大了，寂寞感更重。」
TONG：「為何會這樣？」
MEW：「我不知道怎麼解釋，一切從8年級的那個夏天開始，爸爸帶了阿嬤出去好幾天，那天她終於回來…（阿嬤去世了）這很不容易，阿嬤走得越久，我就越想念她。所以我很疑惑，如果很愛一個人，當離別的那一天，我們該怎麼辦？若離別是生命的一部分，你能夠釋懷嗎？TONG，這有可能嗎？我們很愛一個人，卻不害怕失去他們？我也在想，我們可以不愛任何人，就這麼過一輩子嗎？這就是我的寂寞。它已經伴隨我5年了，我知道寂寞的感覺有多糟！我很怕它會持續變本加厲。」

喜歡導演在這場戲前後的處理，沒回家又不帶手機的TONG，急壞了SUNEE，她四處遍尋TONG不果，伏在車輪盤大哭，一夜未歸。TONG聽了MEW的寂寞宣言，將他擁進懷裡，似乎回到小時候，TONG也曾被MEW安慰著。

MEW早上醒來時，TONG已走了，看著他的字條，然後抱著他睡過的枕頭。TONG一到家就倒在床上大睡，對照他給MEW的留言：「你在我懷裡睡得很甜，不想吵醒你」，似乎徹夜未眠，兩幕完全交待了彼此心意。

SUNEE看到MEW傳給TONG的簡訊，回家望著熟睡的TONG，終於放心了，走進臥室，KORN坐在床邊，原來他也在擔心、等SUNEE回來。

除了兩男的感情線，電影另一個主線著重在TONG一家。當歡樂家庭失去了笑聲，小TONG（KAO飾）很不知所措，他想回到從前，有姐姐的陪伴。搬家後再也沒有人像MEW那樣，讓他攤開心扉，他很迷失，即使和漂亮的DONUT拍拖，不喜歡對方、沒有戀愛的喜悅，他仍繼續發展下去。他不習慣把想法說出來，他擔心會令別人難過，結果自己承受一切。

SUNEE不能接受再失去親人的煎熬，TONG是她最大的寄托，她要兒子走在她期望的正途上，當她發現兒子的性向後，立刻採取行動找MEW攤牌。SINJAI PLENGPANICH成功詮釋出這個堅強又脆弱的母親角色，承受失去女兒的痛苦、面對丈夫放任生命健康、還有一個同志傾向的兒子，無論獨角戲或對手戲都戲味濃郁。出色表現，讓她幾乎橫掃泰國當地電影頒獎典禮的最佳女主角獎項，實至名歸。

愛人可以換，可以有很多個，但家人不能換，就是那幾個。TONG割捨不了家人，爸媽就是他最大的牽掛，只要他們開心，哪怕自己會失去什麼。那個晚上，看到爸爸久違的笑容，他們一家和冒充TANG的JUNE，以及MEW開心享用晚餐，這是他期盼已久的失落幸福。

TONG 替媽媽掛聖誕吊飾時，掙扎於到底要掛那個公仔，忙問媽媽的意見，「如果我選的你不喜歡，你又會難過了。」姐姐宣告失蹤後，小TONG曾偷偷看到媽媽在姐姐房裡大哭。SUNEE心裡五味雜陳，她沒想到兒子會說出這一番話，她是現代社會母親的縮影，在期盼和現實有落差後，往往忽略了嘗試聆聽孩子的心聲。「就選你喜歡的吧！」TONG選了男公仔，媽媽看著她手裡的女公仔，報以一個微笑，她明白了。

以公仔和對話來隱喻兒子性向的選擇，媽媽終於接受了，可是憨直的TONG不知道，他早已把答案堅定地告訴媽媽了。

YING大概是僅次於兩位男主角，最多人喜歡的角色。第一眼見到MEW，她就一見鍾情，對MEW的感情，就像MEW對TONG一樣，只是MEW不自覺他的愛是愛情，而YING早就認定他為白馬王子。電影笑場部分，都來自YING，KANYA RATTANAPETCH自然可愛演出，相當討喜，那一本愛情天書，那種種為愛做的傻事，那一份不愛我也希望你得到幸福的成全態度，惹人憐愛。

MEW請教YING吳鶯音歌曲的歌詞意思，YING說：「只要有愛，就有希望。」她想繼續抱有希望，可是她永遠只能做MEW的好朋友，當她感受到MEW的情歌為誰而唱，她只有祝福了，唯一能做的就是把TONG帶回MEW身邊。

身份迷一般的JUNE，是電影一大懸念，到底她是不是失蹤的TANG，沒有明確的答案。如同TANG，她也是個過客，只是當年TANG的離開，造成他們家不成家，JUNE的離開，是把家重新整合起來。

「有時候，我們給太多愛，最終會造成互相傷害，但是我相信，隨著時間的洗禮，我們將同意，並沒有[太多愛]這回事。就算長久以來都做錯了，好歹我們也曾嘗試去愛和被愛。你同意嗎？生命常給我們機會重新開始，讓我們從錯誤中學習。」

這大概是我寫過最長的影話了，呵呵。電影開場的第一幕就把我給吸引住，小MEW與阿嬤，讓我想起了外婆和兒時的我。MEW回想阿嬤去世辦喪禮的那一幕，我的眼淚不受控制地流下來。TONG擁著MEW入睡那幕，也讓想起自己的回憶，記得當時自己也沒睡著，呆呆看著對方熟睡的表情，即使手臂疼，心裡卻很滿足…

出乎意料地，泰國竟能夠拍出這麼出色的商業藝術片，一部青春成長片，包含的寓意，超出大家的想像。導演、劇本、演員、攝影、配樂、歌曲（另篇再詳談）、美術指導，全在水準之上，片長超過2個半小時，但是一點都不感覺冗長。好久都沒這麼喜歡一部電影了，《愛在暹羅》甚至取代了《藍色大門》在我心目中最佳青春片的位置。

導演說，這是一部可以面向任何觀眾的電影，一點都沒錯！千萬不要因歸類為同志片，就錯過了這部好電影。

打開一閃即逝的青春潘朵拉盒子，有過掙扎、有過彷徨、有過無助，《達爾文》這麼唱著：「我的青春/也不是沒傷痕…」（小寒詞）其實，不管年紀大小，都總有些時候後，需要做出抉擇，沒有對與錯，只想無悔，即使我們知道，那個選擇並不是心中想要的。

看到MEW望著木偶哭說：「謝謝！」心都揪了，木偶終於都完整，他的愛情也結束了，寂寞如影隨形。可故事尚未結束，我們要繼續愛、繼續生活，因為有愛，我們才有牽絆。

TONG：「我不能和你在一起，但並不表示我不愛你！」還記得你的初戀嗎？還有那個你很愛很愛很愛的女生/男生嗎？即使傷痕纍纍、無疾而終，仍要感激曾經在同行的路上。

CONGLOMERATE Multi-Purpose Holdings Bhd (MPHB) (3859) has entered into a put option agreement with AmBank (M) Bhd to buy 41.63 per cent of mobile operator U Mobile Sdn Bhd for RM280 million.

The announcement comes on the heels of a Reuters report that said Japan's biggest mobile operator, NTT DoCoMo, which is also a substantial shareholder of U Mobile, planned to sell its entire 16.5 per cent stake in the Malaysian operator to U Mobile's parent, U Television, for US$100 million (RM350 million).

The report also said the move arose in the aftermath of South Korean partner KT Freetel's sale of its 16.5 per cent stake in U Mobile earlier this year, which analysts said was due to lowered expectations of growth for the Malaysian company.

"The put option, if it materialises, will enable MPHB to venture into the business of multimedia interactive television and telecommunications services. The proposed investment in U Mobile is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings of MPHB," MPHB said in its filing to Bursa Malaysia yesterday.
Over the next 13 months, AmBank has the rights to get MPHB to acquire the U Mobile shares.

However, MPHB did not explain why it chose to enter into a put option agreement instead of acquiring the 41.63 per cent stake directly.

The announcement to Bursa Malaysia also did not disclose which party owned the 41.63 per cent stake, or 157.9 million shares.

"It is one of the announcements that leave more questions than answers: how MPHB is able to buy a 41.63 per cent stake in U Mobile for just RM280 million; when NTT DoCoMo and KT Freetel each bought a 16.5 per cent stake for US$100 million," an analyst commented when contacted.

DoCoMo exits Malaysia with U Mobile stake sale

Japan's NTT DoCoMo will sell off its stake in Malaysian mobile operator U Mobile, less than two years after buying in jointly with KT Freetel.

DoCoMo said it will sell its 16.5% stake to U Mobile majority shareholder U Television for $100 million – the same amount DoCoMo originally paid for the shares.

South Korean partner KT Freetel sold its 16.5% stake in U Mobile in April. Analysts said U Mobile's growth prospects had lowered since the companies acquired their stakes. The two companies are also reported to have had business differences with U Mobile management.

U Television will own nearly 100% of U Mobile after the divestiture, but may sell up to a 45.5% stake to Malaysian holdings company MPHB, The Star reported.

DoCoMo has been pursuing an international expansion strategy to compensate for market saturation in Japan. In July, the company said India would be at the forefront of this push.

My painful experience with Tunetalk

I got my Tunetalk starter pack from 99Speedmart. You will need to register on a form and pay for the un-numbered starter simcard which look like this.

The other side of the simcard beared 99Speedmart advertisement (now, this is how tunetalk making money from advertising, method no. 1)

It cost me RM4.90.

The store keeper will register yr NRIC with the simcard ID by using their mobilephone. Then your account is in pending active mode. Please bear in mind that the simcard has to be start to use (activate) within 14 days from registeration date. Else it will deem invalid.

Insert simcard to a GSM phone (3G phone is not needed as Tunetalk only work on Celcom 2G network). Then you need to select your number as it's a un-numbered starter pack (similar to DiGi un-numbered starter pack). Dial *100# and press SEND. Tunetalk will send you a mobile number.

Select "Accept" to make it your permanent number or select "Reject" and you will be sent another number.

If you are not happy with the second number sent, select "reject". Enter your last 4 preferred digits, and Tunetalk will send you the closest match.

This will be your permanent number unless you login to www.tunetalk.com to select another number, free of charge, within 48 hours. Take note of the temporary password which you will receive for your online self-care account. (This is where I got stucked!! Where is the temporarily password? Did I missed it? No sms is been sent to me?! and where to get help?)

Secondly, the caller that call to your new tunetalk number will have to listen to 10 seconds advertisement before the call being connected. This will waste your caller credit and cost money. (How Tunetalk make money for 2nd time from you).

Then at every end of call, you will be prompted with promotional message (How Tunetalk make money for 3rd time from you).

Then the call is RM0.22 per minute and in 60 seconds per block. Even 1 second call will cost you RM0.22. This is like blood sucking! (Again Tunetalk make real money from you)!

So do you see the point?

It's not worth to get Tunetalk at all, unless they have implemented roaming in local number at Asean countries. Else, just forget Tunetalk!

Do you know that you need to pay for the voicemail (per minute charge RM0.22 per min) for caller to leave voicemail?

And you have no way to disable the voicemail service. Imagine no customer service number to call but just live help! (even HAPPY also has it's CS number although it's chargeable service) Gosh!

Gosh, I just discovered it. What is the rational behind? It's Money Sucker than the Hotlink... Another RED MONSTER!

PETALING JAYA: Tune Talk Sdn Bhd, an MVNO in which Celcom (M) Bhd has a 35% equity stake, is finally set to launch a new prepaid mobile service on Aug 19, 2009 after over a year’s delay.

Celcom has an option to raise its stake in Tune Talk to 51% within three years or when Tune Talk’s subscriber base reaches 1.5 million, whichever is sooner.

“We are offering voice, SMS and data services rides on Celcom 2G platform. A user just needs to buy a SIM card for RM5 and insert it into his mobile phone, choose the number he wants and he is connected to our network,” Tune Talk chief executive officer Jason Lo. “We are going to offer very low flat rates on nationwide coverage leverage on Celcom 2G network.’’

Tune Talk’s prefix for its cellular service is 010-5.

The company has a paid-up capital of RM10mil.

Lo expects the capital expenditure over the next three to five years to be between RM40mil and RM50mil, of which RM10mil will be invested in the first year.

Tune Talk will be riding on MVNO bandwagon as Merchantrade, XOX and RedTone International Bhd on Celcom infrastructure.

What Tune Talk is about to offer may stir up competition, with entry level SIM cards reasonably priced at RM5 each, competitive rates and plans to give out 10 e-vouchers daily for a year which will cost the company RM1mil.

Should you buy an iPhone 3G from Maxis? GUESS NOT!

The whole of the Malaysian Twitter scene is abuzz with the official launch of the iPhone 3G by Maxis in Malaysia. Now, you can see the i-Value Plan with a 12 month contract, i-Value Plan with a 24 month contract, and the more sensible Value Plus Plans with a 6 month contract. Such is life, where Maxis released some data, then pulled the main page, as pre-orders are meant to close by midnight, on the 12th of March.

Should one buy an iPhone 3G today?
Barring the prices, and the plans, should one get an iPhone 3G? If you’ve been waiting and lusting for it, there’s a chance you’ll jump to the pre-order. If you’re on a disposable income, there’s a chance you’ll jump to the pre-order. But what about the rest of us, that actually work hard for our money? Is the iPhone 3G worth it?

First up, know that this current iPhone 3G model was released in mid-year 2008. Apple has an uncanny mechanism for refreshing their hardware, at least once every year, and rumours will always exist, stating that the next refresh will come in June/July 2009. In fact, this isn’t even hearsay - check out what the Mac Buyers Guide for the iPhone says.

Also, remember the current iPhone 3G has limitations, namely a horrible camera, the lack of MMS (meaning Maxis can’t spam you as much, so it might work out to be a bonus), and no video calls. Don’t forget, as a Malaysian, you will have access to the iTunes AppStore to buy apps, but there is currently, no iTunes Music Store.

Then, you should think about support. If your Nokia fails today, you can take it to many authorised dealers, or to Nokia themselves. While Apple has an online store, they only have Apple Premium Authorised Resellers in Malaysia today. This means, that getting simple things done, can take a week or two, in terms of turnaround time. Can you live without a phone for that long?

In conclusion, knowing that the iPhone 3G is probably ready for an update in about 3-4 months, has got deficiencies, and you’re going to be finding it more difficult to get support, if you’re getting one from Maxis, you might consider their 6-month contract, if you like to live on the edge.

Should one buy an iPhone 3G today, from Maxis?
Looking at their rate plans, this is a tough question.

A 12-month contract costs anywhere between RM100-RM375, in where you buy the iPhone 3G 8GB for anywhere between RM1900-RM1080, or the iPhone 3G 16GB for anywhere between RM2290-RM1470. Know that your total commitment ranges from RM1200 - RM4500, not including the cost of the phone. Data isn’t unlimited - you’re going from 500MB-3GB, and you are billed on “minutes” instead of calling blocks (so 333-2,500 minutes per month).

If you’re crazy enough to stretch this out to 24-months (that’s two years people), suddenly the 8GB model comes down to RM1,510-RM0 (yes, a free phone) or the 16GB model comes down to RM1890-RM260. Nothing in the plan changes, per se, except the term of your contract, so your commitment level now becomes RM2400 - RM9000 over 2 years.

Note that these sneaky buggers also ask you to pay an “advance deposit” to ensure you are a Maxis customer for a while.

Also, it looks like if you need more data, you have to shell out the tiny sum of RM99/month. On an iPhone, you tend to need more data. Because with the lack of MMS, getting things out of your phone is just an “e-mail message away” — that becomes the new MMS.

Today, I am already on a plan with Maxis. The Value Plus 80, which I always think I might increase to 150 or 250 even. Maxis plans to continue that, for folk with deeper pockets, with their Value Plus plans. Why deeper pockets? Because the 8GB model costs RM2,540 and the 16GB one costs RM2,960. And you get a meagre 500MB of data free, so you’ll definitely be getting the RM99 unlimited data plan.

Now, back in January, I wrote about price comparisons and where to buy an iPhone 3G in Malaysia. RM2,899 (8GB) and RM3,099 (16GB), unlocked, from iWorld. Today, I moseyed over there to see them having a “spring sale”, and it now costs a mere RM2,999 for a 16GB model, completely unlocked. Sure, you’re worried about warranties, but you’re not much better off, from buying it from Maxis.

Compare that: RM2,999 vs RMRM2,960. RM39 is the difference, you save with Maxis. But the grief of going to the Maxis store, parking there, dealing with not-so-clever support “professionals”. No contracts. Completely unlocked phone. Delivered to your house, the next morning. I’d pick iWorld.

In conclusion, is it wise to get on a Maxis plan? Probably not. They’re fleecing you, the customer. If you’re going to pay so much for the phone, you shouldn’t be locked into such an expensive contract. You should be free to move over to DiGi when they launch better services.

As a Maxis customer, know that their 3G data service quality is questionable. Also know that their customer service is lacking.

Note that you can also get units like the ones from iWorld, completely unlocked and available for you, around Low Yat, for a few hundred ringgit cheaper. I’m just stating my experience with them, that’s all.

Anything else?
Well, its unclear if the Maxis iPhone 3G units are completely unlocked, or if they’re SIM locked to Maxis for the period of the contract.

With MNP in place, and competition rife, I’m surprised Apple Malaysia didn’t pull a stunt like what they did in Hong Kong - sell completely unlocked units, and let the people choose.

Apple is planning an event towards the end of March, that may announce some changes to the iTunes Store, which may mean that Malaysians get to buy music, and other content. This is how Apple makes residual income from the sale of an iPhone — they don’t really care for the carrier profits, now do they?

I don’t forsee many Malaysian’s shelling out cash for apps in the AppStore, with the way the USD-MYR rates are going. They’ll use it, but they’ll get the free apps. I can’t blame them. Apple doesn’t release sales metrics for their AppStore by region, but if they did, we could come up with a better analysis.

In “high society” (middle class and above, I use the term loosely), seeing an iPhone is very common. Whether its the older model, or the 3G model, its almost everywhere. So again, it depends on the “disposability” of your income.

So, would you buy an iPhone 3G in Malaysia, from Maxis?

Maxis launched it's first lowest commitment plan on the industry. Value First, which monthly commitment fee is RM30, consists of RM15 fix monthly fee and RM15 usage rebate.

Believe this is to counter strike the postpaid subscription lost due to MNP and to migrate Hotlink low usage user to the starter plan of postpaid.

It's the most affordable plan till date and better than Celcom Executive 20 and DiGi I Love Easy DG20 plan.

DiGi charges RM0.20 voice call rate and RM0.15 SMS rate flat to any network, whereby Maxis charges RM0.18 onnet and RM0.20 off net voice call arte and RM0.10 SMS flat to any networks.

However the fine print are:-

NTV7 not censor "Gay & Lesbian"

Watched the 81st Academy Award show on NTV7 (recorded/non-live) last Saturday night and found that NTV7 never censor Dustin Lance Black speech...

According to news sources, the censor over Astro feed was done by StarTV on 3 StarMovie feed to 3 countries. StarTV purposely censor it due to Malaysia rules, it claims..

Funny that local/domestic TV that deal with domestic affair never care about this...

Anyway, anyone watch the NTV7 first broadcast on last Friday morning 10am? Have they censored?

WHY HATE GAY PEOPLE SO MUCH?

Below is a letter written by Pang Khee Teik to Astro. Please join him to write letters, or simply cut and paste his letter and forward to Astro, as well as the media to complain about Astro's censorship.

LETTER:

*Why did Astro censor the words "Gay" & "Lesbian" from Oscar acceptance speeches?*

I want to thank Astro for screening this year's Oscars, which gave us the very heartwarming wins by the screenwriter and the lead actor of the movie
"Milk". Congratulations too to the movie "Milk", about the first openly gay man elected to public office in California who was then assassinated, for winning Best Original Screenplay and Best Actor. The acceptance speeches by screenwriter Justin Lance Black and actor Sean Penn were both moving, bold and timely. They spoke up about the need for equal rights, to love, to share this land, and to be heard. This year, the Oscars celebrated the kind of
diversity that the arts is able to champion; it's the kind of diversity that desperately needs championing in a world so overwhelmed by racism, war, and hatred.

This is part of Justin's speech:

"When I was 13 years old, my beautiful mother and my father moved me from a conservative Mormon home in San Antonio, Texas to California, and I heard the story of Harvey Milk. And it gave me hope. It gave me the hope to live my life. It gave me the hope one day I could live my life openly as who I am and then maybe even I could even fall in love and one day get married. I wanna I wanna thank my mom, who has always loved me for who I am even when there was pressure not to. But most of all, if Harvey had not been taken from us 30 years ago, I think he'd want me to say to all of the gay and lesbian kids out there tonight who have been told that they are less than by their churches, by the government or by their families, that you are beautiful, wonderful creatures of value and that no matter what anyone tells you, God does love you and that very soon, I promise you, you will have
equal rights federally, across this great nation of ours. Thank you. Thankyou. And thank you, God, for giving us Harvey Milk."

And this is Sean's:

"For those who saw the signs of hatred as our cars drove in tonight, I think that it is a good time for those who voted for the ban against gay marriage to sit and reflect, and anticipate their great shame, and the shame in their
grandchildren' s eyes if they continue that way of support. We've got to have equal rights for everyone," said Penn.

However, if you caught the Oscars on Astro, you would have noticed something so bizarre almost to be ironic. The words "gay" and "lesbian" have been censored from both these speeches. For me, this act of censorship defeated the very victory won by these two men. The two moments of silence rang out like the gun shots that killed Harvey Milk.

We live in a time when understanding is needed, when artists need to be bold in addressing the manifold injustices of the world. Hence, such a movie had
to be made, such acceptance speeches to be uttered. But by its act of censorship, Astro has sent a message to all Malaysians that gays and lesbians are still shameful things to be censored from the public's ears. As a gay man, I am truly offended. After all these years of contributing to the country through my work, of helping people regardless of their orientation, being proud of who I am and helping others be proud of who they are, I can
assure you that the only thing wrong is how much hate gays have to endure simply for the way we love.

What is Astro trying to achieve with the censoring of the words "gay" and "lesbian"? Do they think these words will promote homosexuality? Let me assure you that homosexuality cannot be promoted, it just happens. Just as a person's sexuality becomes apparent to him or her when the hormones kick in in the teen years; you don't need sex promoted to you by the TV, your body does its own promotion.

Meanwhile, words like "terrorist", "rapist" and "murderer" gets passed and nobody gets their panties knotted over how these words might promote terrorism, rapes and murders. On the other hand, words like "gays" and
"lesbians" that describe people among us who happen love the same sex get treated like it is a crime to even mention in public. Is Astro promoting hate over love? Just what kind of society does Astro want to be creating?
One where people can talk about terrorism but not love?

You want to know what breeds social ills? It is the kind of insecurity and low self esteem that results from such continual shaming through the media, that then leads to machismo, violence, bullying, and other superficial ways
with which men employ to compensate for their insecurity.

Does Astro not know that many of its own staff are gay? I won't name them, but trust me, I know many of them (and I congratulate Astro for smartly tapping into such a pool of talents). But is Astro now ashamed of its many
talented gay and lesbian staff?

And does Astro not know too that a huge number of its viewers are gay and lesbian? Otherwise, why bother to screen "Brothers & Sisters", "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy", "Six Feet Under" and other popular TV series that
show how gays and lesbians are not only part of society but play vital roles in shaping that society for the better? Is Astro ashamed of its gay and lesbian viewers? And if this is some national guideline, then Astro needs to
question it if it hopes to be fair to its viewers.

Stop censoring the words that describe who I am. I am a Malaysian. I work hard for the right to be here, and I work hard for the right to love, just like everyone else. Thank you.

Dustin Lance Black’s Oscar Acceptance Speech Gets Censored In Asian Broadcasts

Oscar-winning scribe, Milk writer Dustin Lance Black, enjoys a cup of coffee with a friend in West Hollywood on Wednesday (February 25).

The 34-year-old screenwriter accepted the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay on Sunday. His acceptance speech was censored in fifty different Asian nations by pan-Asian satellite TV network STAR, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation.

STAR spokeswoman Jannie Poon defended the network’s muting of the words “gay” and “lesbian” by saying STAR has “a responsibility to take the sensitivities and guidelines of all our markets into consideration.”

Here’s Dustin’s uncensored speech in its entirety: “This was was not an easy film to make. First off, I have to thank Cleve Jones and Anne Kronenberg and all the real-life people who shared their stories with me. Gus Van Sant, Sean Penn, Emile Hirsch, Josh Brolin, James Franco and our entire cast, my producers Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen, everyone at Groundswell and Focus for taking on the challenge of telling this life-saving story. When I was 13-years-old, my beautiful mother and my father moved me from a conservative Mormon home in San Antonio, Texas to California, and I heard the story of Harvey Milk. And it gave me hope. Congratulations on your win. It was very touching, and I loved what you said. Do you think President Obama should reverse the stand on gay marriage? I think that there’s a few things that I would love him to do immediately, which is to repeal “don’t ask don’t tell,” and DMA, Defensive Marriage Act. But I do think that for inspiration for the gay community, we need to look not to Proposition 8, but dream bigger and look back to 1964 and the Civil Rights Act, because no group has ever won full civil rights in this country going state by state or county by county. I think it is time for the gay and lesbian community to have a federal civil rights act for full civil rights.

So you think it should be reversed? Absolutely. We are equal. Everyone.

You were talking about how you were inspired by Harvey Milk when you were a kid. What would have happened if, say, you were 13 and you saw someone like you at the Oscars, saying what you said? What do you think that would have done for you back then? I don’t know. I didn’t hear that at the Oscars when I was a 13 year old kid. You know, I just hope it makes you feel a bit less alone. It’s easy in San Francisco and L.A. and New York, Chicago, because you can find support, you can find mentors and heroes. But where I’m from, and a lot of places, you know in this country, in small town America, they just don’t know there are gay heroes, and they don’t know there’s other gay people, and they don’t know there’s a potential future, I mean a beautiful future. I mean, look at this; it’s insane for out gay people. I hope it inspires some folks.

Working on the screenplay that you did, have you ever have the dream of an Oscar moment or award moment? Did it fulfill the expectation that you felt? It’s all sort of an out of body thing. I mean, definitely, when we started this journey, I was, you know, just charging hotel stays and gasoline on my credit card and driving out to meet with Cleve Jones and Anne Kronenberg in San Francisco. There’s no studio, things like that. Your dream is don’t screw it up, first of all; and your second is, let’s get it to a great director. And I was fortunate and got it to Sean and it just kept being the next thing in front of you. And then all of a sudden, four weeks ago was a nomination, and it’s just sort of unbelievable. I don’t quite believe it yet. Maybe when I see my mom in a few minutes, I’ll believe it.

Did you know what you were going to say if and when you got up there? I had an idea. I mean, for me, the whole thing was always just sort of, you know, pay it forward. You know, Harvey gave me his story. And Harvey gave me his story and it saved my life. I just thought it’s time to pass it on. So the only thing I really knew I wanted to say is tell those kids out there they are going to be all right.

You’re making us all emotional. You’ve mentioned your mom a couple times. Was there something your mom said to you right before you came in came here tonight or were on the red carpet? Is there something you guys talked about that really struck a chord with you? You know, she always, you know, she just says, “I can’t believe we are here. Think of where we came from.” You know, we were, like, a broke family. It was just my single mom raising us for a very long time before my beautiful stepdad came around, and, you know, and it was just about survival for so long. So, I think for her, she’s completely overwhelmed and, you know, and she just does what she always does. I mean, this is a Mormon woman who should not be accepting or loving, and she just says I love you, and I want you to fall in love and be as happy as I am, so…

I wanted to know at what point did you think that this film could grab the attention of the Academy? I think that’s an easy one. I think it was the moment we first saw Sean with his hair cut with the suit on, and he came in, onto the set. And I was blown away at how much it reminded me of everything I’d heard and seen of Harvey. And I looked out to turn to Cleve and I went, “My God. That’s him, isn’t it?” And Cleve was outside like smoking manically going, “Oh, my God. I’ve seen a ghost.” But that was the thing. I thought this film would only succeed if we could somehow get close to that charisma, because that charisma of Harvey Milk is what transcended our community again and reached out to all these other people and will embrace the film. I think they have.
